Description
A newly discovered and as yet scientifically undescribed species that seems to be closest to A. melo but differs in the smooth upper leaf surface, the prominent red glands on the leaf underside and the downy petioles. Leaves with remarkable India-rubber-like texture.
Cultivation recommendations: A tropical lowland plant requiring high humidity and a minimum temperature of 20 C for good growth. Soil should be rich and well drained.
