Description
North-east of Lyon, VBSC is constructing the new highway viaduct for highway concessionary APRR. This viaduct is a part of the new link between the A6 highway (Lyon-Paris) and the A432 highway leading to the Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport. The viaduct consists of 2 steel bridges, weighing 4300 tonnes each, supported by 15 concrete piers. The total length is 1210m. Because the bridge is curved in 2 directions "like the letter S", it has been erected at launching platforms at both ends of the bridge. Both parts are welded together after launching, at a height of 40m.
