Portable Diesel Smoke Analyzer OPUS50

Portable Diesel Smoke Analyzer consists of a portable measuring unit on a stand and with measuring probe, as well as a connection unit equipped with a printer, and a LCD remote control that controls the measuring process. The display presents all readings, and acceleration tests, printouts etc are performed via an easy-yo-use menue system.

The measurement unit is connected to the exhaust pipe of the vehicle using the supplied sampling probe. The connection unit is placed by the engine house where it can be hung uo using the hook mounted on the rear panel. The measurement can be controlled by the operator via the LCD remote display from the driver's seat or from a position by the engine.

The diesel smoke is measured and is shown in smoke density as well as an absorption coefficient. The OPUS 50 Portable is programmed for two test modes: continuous measurement - full load/part load, and free acceleration measurement. The analyzer can also be equipped with RPM/Oiltemp measurement.

The supplied measuring probe can be used for all vehicles, e.g. private cars, trucks and busses. The probe is accompanied by insulation which is used for outdoor measurements down to -20oC.

The measurement unit can be hung on the vehicle and is therefore easily connected even to vehicles with high exhaust pipes. The rubber coated rear stand legs protect the paintwork of the vehicle.
