The Borneo steam train is back on track again and has been beautifully restored and comfortable for your ride across the countryside. The Vulcan Steam locomotive was built in 1896, powered by firewood , as a point of interest as it is one of the few rare trains in the world that still uses firewood to power it. Excellent food and Tiffin Lunch is served on board, delivered with impeccable friendly service.

0930hrs Boarding at Tanjung Aru Station - Breakfast is provided
1000hrs Depart from Tanjung Aru Station for Papar
1040hrs Stop at Kinarut Town - visit Tien Shi Temple or traditional shops
1100hrs Depart from Kinarut Station
1145hrs Arrive in Papar Town - visit local wet market and shops
1220hrs Re-board train for return journey
1230hrs Depart from Papar Station for Tanjung Aru
