The PVC resin is sourced from reputable manufacturers both locally and overseas. Rework materials may be used provided that the conduit produced meets the requirements of BSEN 500086-2-1:1986
Appearance
The internal and external surface of conduit are smooth, clean and reasonably free from grooving and other defects that would impair its performance in service. The end is cleanly cut and square with their axis.
Length
Conduits are supplied in straight length of not less than 2.9m. Other lenghts can be supplied as agreed upon by purchaser and manufacturer. The wall thickness of conduit is considered satisfactory which meets the minimum requirements of this specification.
Design Criteria
Conduits are designed to BSEN 500086-2-1 : 1996 and are tested by SIRIM for conformity to requirements. They are designed 20mm and 25mm diameter in straight length of not less than 2.9 meters.
