RB-HICOM's proven performance in the services business has become the springboard to launch into other new areas. It is the Group's way forward. It is also the nation's way forward, as Malaysia transforms itself from a production economy to a knowledge-based services economy.
The main anchor of the services business is government concessions, awarded to the Group as a result of privatisation. The concessions range between 12 and 40 years and represent recurrent income. Efforts to strengthen the existing portfolio of services are paralleled by exploration for new opportunities. Education, healthcare and operations & maintenance services have been identified as new growth areas given their resilience and strong upside potential.
The Group's services business provides a measure of convergence with the automotive and property & Infrastructure businesses. The latter can leverage on financial and non-financial services to offer seamless end-to-end product delivery to all segments of their respective markets.
