Principle of Filtration

The ber for the application in water technology is a Dutch invention of Dr. Koenhen about 25 years ago and found its way as “Singlebore”

and “MultiBore” or “SevenBore” in the world markets.

PVC ber material is from Bayer AG and the spinning head to produce either of the above mentioned product names is Koenhen’s

invention.

The SevenBore membrane has been developed by Dr. Dick Koenhen who has already successfully developed the X Flow membrane

(singlebore) in the past. One of the major disadvantages of the singlebore membranes is the low strength of the membrane ber. The

ber needs careful treatment in operation to avoid too much stress, to minimize the risk that the ber would break and ltration

would fail. With the SevenBore above is not applicable as the membrane is 20 times stronger than a singlebore.

A stronger ber will enable the operator or design engineer to use a more robust cleaning method with backwash and forward ush.

Even a limited backwash pulse is possible. The strength of the ber is an important benet to use this membrane in small scale, stand

alone ltration units. It has delivered membrane elements for at least 300 installations in Europe for drinking water ltration point of

entry/use already (replacement of singlebore bers)

The ber got extra strength from the 7 capillaries which are in one ber. It has developed a special mixture of polymers and production

method to realize an open foam structure (see picture). This open structure gives the permeate water moving through the ber,

hardly any resistance. In a standard extrusion process the outside ber surface is normally closed due to the inherent production

process.

With some added chemicals It has put extra hydroxide groups into the ber material which are realizing a more hydrophilic surface

which is benetting the water ltration. Many membrane producers are doing this with PVP, but PVP will be slowly washed out of the

membrane and the hydrophilicity and lifetime of the membrane will be reduced.

Quality

All UF lters carry a quality sticker from the Hygiene-Institut des Ruhrgebietes in Germany. In fact it is the only lter in the world which

has such a quality approval for a lter which has been tested for the Legionella bacteria. The UF lter has been developed after the

rst outbreak of the Legionella bacteria decennia ago in Holland (scan 0001 and gepruefte Qualitaet).

Product Range

Household

The operation of the 7 holes UF lter is based on the principal of Ultraltration. The 7 holes UF lter system is a fully automatically

self-cleaning system. The lter elements consists of a great number of hollow membranes with a pore size of 0.01μm. Compared with

a human hair the pores in the membrane wall are approximately 1600 times smaller. The active lter layer of the membrane is on the

inside of the capillary. The water is pushed through the 0.01μm pores in the wall from the inside to the outside of the membrane

whilst removing suspended solids, particles, viruses and bacteria like the Legionella bacterium out of the water. The remaining

particles on the inside of the membrane will be removed from the membrane wall via an automatic forward ush procedure

controlled by a PLC or timer and ushed to drain. This self-cleaning process makes use of the water pressure from the supply source.

The cleaning frequency and cleaning times are adjustable.

The 7 holes UF lter unit is especially designed to built-in directly in the water line behind the water meter. The unit consists of two

Ultraltration elements and will be delivered “Ready for Use”.

Deliwater七孔超滤膜

PVC七孔超滤膜是首创的第一支复合多孔超滤膜。该膜丝解决了普通膜丝所不能解决的同时具备较高的空

隙率同时又具备物理机械强度两个相互制约、相互矛盾的要求。使膜丝可以在较低压力下拥有高通量,提

高超滤效率,减少运营成本;并同时具备了高的物理机械强度,确保了膜丝可靠运行,最大限度地避免了

使用过程中的断丝,适应各种应用环境。

七孔超滤膜的优点有:

1、 亲水性好,抗污染

2、抗拉强度高(可达到14-15 N左右,一般单孔膜为3-6 N),柔韧性好(断裂伸长率达65% 左右,一般

超滤膜产品为30-40%)。确保了各种使用条件下都能提供稳定的超滤效果

3、过滤精度高,出水水质好。按照10纳米(0.01 微米)规格打造,膜孔均匀,产水浊度<0.02NTU、。

4、反洗频率低,反洗后通量恢复好,节水效果好。耐酸碱性和亲水性材料的复配设计,可以有效去除膜

的生物和有机污堵;反洗和化学清洗频率低于单孔膜,反洗后通量恢复较之单孔膜优越。

5、耐酸碱、抗氧化,使用寿命长、维护简便。

单孔超滤膜的膜丝内径一般为0.8μm,在使用过程中普遍遇到问题为膜丝断裂,主要是水锤或压力不均匀

而产生的,在水质复杂、浊度较高(主要是硅胶体含量高)以及有机物含量较高的情况下会产生污堵,表

现为压差上升快,水量下降,反洗和清洗效果不理想,膜通量恢复较慢,回收率下降,严重时会出现膜无

法彻底清洗和恢复。单孔膜膜丝较细,机械强度相对较低,抗压性能稍差,膜的出水表面相对较封闭,运

行中水流通畅受到一定的限制,在水质较差和温度较低的情况下,为了保持通量,往往需加大压力,后果

是把污染物挤到膜组织里面,造成膜的污堵和无法彻底清洗恢复。同时旧一代单孔膜采用PVP亲水性添加

材料,由于PVP是水溶性的,会随着运行中被水带走,造成亲水性基团的剥落,亲水性下降,膜的抗污染

性也随之下降。

七孔超滤膜的技术特点

以荷兰Koenhen博士为领导的研发团队在开发了单孔膜的基础上,进一步开发出新一代结构和性能更优越

的超滤膜——七孔超滤膜。七孔膜的结构为一根膜丝里面有七个过滤小孔,每根膜丝外径为4.2μm,每个

小孔孔径达到0.9μm,比单孔膜孔径更大。小孔之间是疏水性很强的支撑层。形成蜂窝状支撑,具有强大

的机械强度。具有以下性能优势:

膜丝的精度更高,达到0.01μm,出水水质更好,膜孔分布更均匀;

耐酸碱性可有效去除膜的生物和有机污堵;

比起单孔膜的0.8μm孔径,七孔膜膜丝每个孔径达到0.9μm,更不容易污堵,抗污堵强,反洗效果更好;

单孔膜丝只能抵挡不到2Kg的压力,七孔膜丝可抵挡高达7Kg的压力,且不断丝;

七孔膜外表面是敞开的孔,透水性远强于单孔膜,过水通道比单孔膜更加流畅,过膜压差低,

反洗压力低,反洗效果好,能耗低。反洗和清洗水量少,节水效果卓越;

在相同膜通量的设定下,七孔膜运行过膜压差远低于单孔膜,耐污堵,这样反洗频率和化学加强洗频率以

及化学清洗频率低于单孔膜,反洗和清洗水量低于单孔膜,化学药剂消耗量低;

在相同运行压差情况下,七孔膜的透水性和产水量明显大于单孔膜,反洗后其膜通量恢复优于单孔膜;
